Martin's Guest House - On a lovely Summer's day, it's great to hop into a four by four air-conditioned vehicle and take a drive up one of Port Elizabeth's unspoilt beaches....the following picture shows three guests on their way to collect white mussels for a "clam-chowder" type supper

Hougham Park - a beautiful remote beach to drive up. On this particular
day, friend Rod and I had driven some 80 kilometres (50 miles) up the beach and then
stopped to have a barbeque. Dolphins came and gambolled in the waves not 50 metres from
where we were relaxing.
Cape Recife - my
favourite. This nature reserve, rich in birdlife, is some five minutes from my home. If you
arrive early in the morning, you may well see a small buck (deer) tentatively walking
around. Oysters and Perlemoen abound and strict nature conservation rules apply. Please
join us in adhering to these. The picture following shows a full-on beach barbeque in
progress will full regalia - Tonneau cover, tables and even salt and pepper - eating
freshly-gathered seafood.
Below...my son Junior and daughter Mariska, alternatively collecting shells, snorkelling
and drying off.
